DC INTERNS
Dance Canvas has opportunities for high school and college-age students to participate in internships pre, during, and post performances.

Dance Canvas thanks our 2008-09 Internship partner, Usher's New Look, who provided two internship positions for the 2008 Inaugural Performance Series at the Woodruff Arts Center 14th Street Playhouse.
Mia Barnett and Stephen Royce,
2008 performance interns.
A: Dance Canvas accepts interns in many different capacities. Depending on skill level and company needs, interns will either be placed in Stage Management, Public Relations, Artist Relations, Administration, amoung other positions. Interns will receive 1st hand instruction and experience with organizing productions, maintaining a performance rehearsal/tech schedule, hosting an event, managing dancers and choreographers, promotions, day-to-day administration of an arts organization. Students will leave the internship with resume credentials and mentor connections.
A: We look for students who are energetic and eager to learn new things. Dance Canvas interns DO NOT have to be dancers. In fact, we like showing and engaging students in new things. DC INTERNS must be hard-working, responsible and reliable. Interns will be given a 1st hand look into behind the scenes of the entertainment business and performing arts.
A: DC INTERNS must be at least juniors in high school by the start of their semester as an intern.
