Thank you to all of the extremely talented choreographers who applied to present in Dance Canvas' fall performance series.
The 2009-10 choreographers have been selected and are in the process of being notified.
We will be making the official announcement of choreographers on Friday, August 14th.
Dance Canvas is pleased to announce the 2009-10 search for the NEXT GENERATION of choreographers.
If you are innovative, creative, and have an inspired choreographic point of view, we want to feature you in our 2009 Performance Series at the Woodruff Arts Center's 14th Street Playhouse.
Selected Choreographers will receive the opportunity to showcase their choreography to Atlanta audiences in three performances. Choreographers willl receive theater rehearsal time, technical assistance, studio rehearsal space, costuming assistance, full marketing and promotional exposure, access to professional dancers, and much more.*
The selected 2008-09 choreographers were chosen from across the country (Atlanta, New York, Maryland, Louisiana) , and received rave reviews from Dance Canvas patrons and Atlanta's professional dance community! Since the Inaugural Performance series in September 2008, the 2008-09 choreographers have been asked to perform and have been hired to choreograph and teach at schools throughout the Southeast.
